Refund Policy

Last updated: February 2026

Provider: BIM4CIVIL – operated by Jesús María Fernández Martín (sole entrepreneur), Switzerland

Primary jurisdiction: Switzerland

This policy governs refunds for time-limited digital software licenses provided by BIM4CIVIL. It must be read together with the applicable End-User License Agreement (EULA).

1. Scope

This policy applies to all digital products offered directly by BIM4CIVIL, including:

  • Software plugins and add-ins
  • Time-limited software licenses
  • Digital BIM-related services

Purchases made via third-party platforms are subject to the refund policies of those platforms.

2. Nature of the Product

BIM4CIVIL software is licensed, not sold.

Each purchase grants a time-limited license valid for the period specified at checkout. No automatic renewal applies.

Access to the Software is granted immediately upon successful payment and activation of the license.

3. No Refund Policy

Due to the digital nature of the Software and the immediate activation of the license, all sales are final, except where mandatory law provides otherwise.

Once the license key or access credentials have been issued, the product is considered delivered and non-returnable.

4. Exceptional Refunds (Discretionary)

Refunds may be granted solely at the discretion of BIM4CIVIL in exceptional circumstances, including but not limited to:

  • Duplicate or clearly erroneous charges
  • Verified billing errors attributable to BIM4CIVIL
  • Severe technical incompatibility preventing installation, provided that compatibility requirements were met

The above examples do not create any entitlement or automatic right to a refund.

If a refund is approved, the associated license will be immediately revoked and access to the Software terminated in accordance with the EULA.

5. No Cancellation Process

As BIM4CIVIL does not offer subscription-based services, no cancellation process applies.

The license automatically expires at the end of the purchased validity period. Continued use requires the purchase of a new license.

6. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute without first contacting BIM4CIVIL may result in immediate suspension or termination of the license.

BIM4CIVIL reserves the right to contest unjustified chargebacks and to provide activation and usage records to the payment provider.

7. Right of Withdrawal (EU Customers)

Where EU consumer protection law applies, the right of withdrawal does not apply once digital content has been made available immediately after purchase, provided that the user has expressly consented to immediate delivery.

By completing the purchase, the user expressly:

  • Requests immediate access to the digital content
  • Acknowledges that the license is activated immediately
  • Understands that this results in the loss of any statutory right of withdrawal, where applicable

8. Changes to This Policy

BIM4CIVIL may update this policy to reflect legal or commercial changes. Updates apply only to future purchases.

9. Language

This policy is written in English. In case of translation discrepancies, the English version prevails.
